Luxury surf and turf restaurant Burger and Lobster has confirmed plans to open in Aberdeen.
Currently operating seven restaurants in London and a further three across England and Wales, the restaurant is now set to open within the new development of Marischal Square, making it the chain's first restaurant north of the border.
Burger and Lobster is well known for its no menu policy, instead serving three options of a burger, lobster or lobster roll with fries and salad.
But those looking to splash out can choose their own crustaceans to be cooked to order from the restaurant’s lobster tanks.
The drinks menu is designed to complement the three dining options, with cocktails, draught beers and wines on offer.
A spokeswoman said: “We are very excited about the opportunity in Marischal Square and bringing Burger and Lobster to Aberdeen.
“Aberdeen is a city with a thriving restaurant/bar scene and we want to be a big part of its future.”
Meanwhile All Bar One, who operate over 40 bars and restaurants across the UK, have also confirmed they are in talks to secure a site within the development.
A spokesperson said: "We are in negotiations for a location in the Marischal Square development and cannot comment further at this time."
The £107m Marischal Square development was narrowly backed by councillors in March, with members voting 22 to 21 against taking any action to halt the controversial development following a series of protests.
