Five Guys has announced plans to open its first burger bar in Aberdeen.
The popular US chain has four sites across Glasgow and Edinburgh with plans for a fifth Dundee outlet set to open in the coming weeks.
Now it has been revealed Five Guys plan to open in Aberdeen city centre next year.
It is thought the restaurant could be serving up burgers and fries to the people of Aberdeen by September 2016 if plans get the go-ahead.
A spokeswoman for the company said: “We are hoping to open in Aberdeen in 2016, but nothing is confirmed yet.”
Five Guys Burgers and Fries was established in 1986 in the US before rapidly gaining popularity in the UK from 2013 onwards after opening its first restaurant in London's Covent Garden.
Dubbed 'the Willy Wonka of burgercraft', the chain prides itself on using all fresh ingredients to top its stamped prime beef patties, boasting over 250,000 possible ways to order a burger in one of its restaurants.
Each restaurant is equipped with a Coca-Cola freestyle machine, which offers customers the choice to mix up over 100 soft drink choices.
