A giant waterslide is set to take over the length of Belmont Street in ten days time as part of a free family fun day.
Taking place on Sunday, September 20, children aged seven and upwards can race down the 40m slide on inflatable lilos provided from 10am until 4pm.
Interested participants will be asked to register their interest prior to the event on the Giant WaterSlide website in 30 minute slots.
Unfilled slots will then be made available on a first come-first served basis on the day.
The free attraction, with costs covered by Aberdeen City Council, will form part of the sixth In Town Without My Car Day, an initiative which aims to encourage Aberdonians to use public transport to travel into the city centre to enjoy family-friendly activities.
Schoolhill and Belmont Street will close to traffic as part of the event, with a bouncy castle, inflatable assault course, face painting, dance displays and a climbing wall forming some of the attractions on the day.
