The north-east is enjoying a halcyon period when it comes to fish and chips.
We've regaled you with how Stonehaven's The Bay won the UK title back in 2013.
And now the Dyce-based retail premises, Sea Salt + Sole, has been named as one of Britain's ten best new chippers.
The business, which was opened by Rikki Pirie, was only opened last year, but has already established an impressive reputation.
And, rather like The Bay, it prides itself on its sustainable produce and the freshness of its locally-sourced food.
Rikki said: “It’s obviously fantastic to get this far, we’re really happy because we’re the only shop in Scotland.
“We’ve not even been open a year yet, so it’s a great achievement.”
The competition, organised by the organisation Seafish will heat up as the rivals battle it out in the 2016 Fish and Chips Awards.
During the next few weeks, the shortlisted companies will face mystery judging evaluations, including an assessment of product quality and customer service levels.
And, following that process, the ten will be reduced to three, who will subsequently batter it out for the top accolade at next year's awards ceremony in London.
